Summer's on the way . . .So Lez Party Like It's 2009

I've taken a break from the scene for a little bit. So much to do and we all know time waits for no1. but im re-emerging for some very special events. Now lesbian lifestyle poses an issue for some of us because some party-goers make it in without ID. Or some parties are to "rowdy". You just have to know how to pick your party style. Now im a dancer so when i go out I love to hit a CLUB with a DJ spining top 40 hits from the 80's and beyond. (& im not afraid to admit i also enjoy sweating to the oldies and getting my disco fever on). Than there's the laid back party style, where you sip on something light and rub elbows with your city's hottest and most sophisticated women.

The summer is rapidly approaching and our weekend will be filled with Pride events and celebrations. Until than here's two of New York hottest over 21 events to kick off a sexy summer:

A themed queer prom where you can bring your date, partner or main squeeze without causing a riot? I'll be there as should you! Is this really an OUTRAGE?

Documentary Outrage has recently been released, causing what can be deemed a surprising division amongst homosexuals across the country. The film is said to use keen investigating techniques to go behind the scenes and into the closets of politicians who participate in homosexual conduct secretly. It's been made very clear that the folks behind the film deliberately strayed from any sort of tabloid sensationalized story telling. This film contains facts! Be it fact or fiction, is this the proper approach?

Personally, outing someone is not an option. Generally the LGBT community disagrees. As someone whose never had to "come out of the closet" I see forcing someone out as a great disservice. To out someone is to reveal a private aspect of said person's life that you may not agree with. When is the last time YOU outed someone thinking it would do them any GOOD? For those of you who believe that someone should be outed, is this because you also believe that being homosexual is wrong?

As you mull that over let's survey the suspects:

Politicians in power, voting no for gay rights and marriage equality. These same politicians than enjoying secret (and sometimes seedy) gay lifestyles. This can be looked at a multitude of ways. The politician is wrong for enjoying the parts of homosexuality that benefit him/her (sex). The politician isnt wrong for enjoying certain aspects of homosexuality, but wrong for not voting on identified homosexuals to enjoy other aspects (such as gay marriage). Now think of this some more. Have you ever had a secret, torrid, or ilicit affair? Do you believe in marriage after such an affair? If you were married, did you confess your dirty deeds to everyone? Is an affair of any sort of sexual nature news worthy?

If you find yourself answering yes to a lot of these questions maybe you too suffer with an issue of self-loathing as these politicians do. Don't get me wrong i don't believe that those who condone outing anyone neccasarily suffer from internalized homophobia o self-hate. I do , however believe that the big picture is being missed.

Oh how i can go on about this topic for days, but i think its better to discuss it in a forum or some sort of panel. Rihanna's Ruin?

Maybe this isnt Princess Rihanna's year to reign. Making headlines for all the wrong reasons as of late, I wonder is she about to fall?

Yesterday leaked nude photos of Pop/ R&B chart topper Rihanna hit the web with a vengeance. This comes as Rihanna has been hitting the scene again. She's been photographed all week smiling, waving to the cameras, and looking amazing!

No word of how the leaked photos came to be public. Though they were released suscpiously close to the "leak" of lesser known Diddy protege Cassie Ventura. Some speculate that Rihanna's alleged nudes were released to take the heat off of Cassie. This theory is questionable being that Cassie is barely a star in her own right.

There has been no rebuttals from Rihanna's side. I've seen the photos and there are no verifying indicators (her face, or many tattoos). The photos picture someone in Rihanna's likeness, but it ends there. Cassie, however confirmed the authenticity of her photos. She responded with something along the lines of "Wow, i dont understand the big deal, people act like they never saw a titty before." Later more photos hit the web of a head to toe nude Cassie. We've seen boobs a-plenty Cassie. It's Diddy's little songbirds pierced and spread eagle that we haven't seen a whole lot of. Ha.

Pink to Bi or Not to Bi. . . That is the Question.

As previously reported Pink has been rumored to be bisexual. She disputes the claims and insists that she supports the LGBT community way to much to hide or not be proud of such a huge issue.Throughout her career, Pink has maintained a gay-friendly image and style of music.

While I'm sure that girls and guys alike wouldn't mind "enjoying Pink's company" im not sure if the feeling would be mutual. I don't believe almost anything i read in the rags, but photos dont lie. If these following photos were doctored call me crazy! I dont know if anyone remembers but this story (and photos) broke in October 2003, Do you remember Pink "Loken for Love."

She may be happy with men, but this night looked like she kissed a girl and liked it! Bisexual or heterosexual, Pink is hot! And a girl has every right to dream, doesnt she? If you'd like to read more about that 2003 lesbian night out, check out the link below:

Rihanna Takes a Risk

Rihanna hits the red carpet for the first time in months, clad in a smoking hot Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. The striking singer showed up in a suit (bow tie included) and it is now being speculated that she may be a lesbian. Glory to the lesbians everywhere if she is, but at this point i doubt it. It's quite unfortunate that after having her very public ordeal with abuse that people are worrying about what the young woman is wearing. Am i the only person who is happy to see her out and about?

Though i could do without the sleeves, girly looks good! It's this sort of scrutiny that drives these stars to make actual bad decisions. Why cant we just leave them alone? I'm definitely rooting for Rihanna and look forward to see her working again, much like my on again/ off again pretend girlfriend, Ms. Lindsay Lohan.

Other stars who have recently had their sexualities questioned have been P!nk, Jennifer Aniston, and Katy Perry.

Katy Perry is gay for play and pay, so we're going to move right along from her. Pink has had these rumors surround her before when a photo of her surfaced a couple years back. In this photo she was caught making out with an Actress from one of the newer Terminator movies (or show?). Pink says she's not, and she loves the gays (which is why we all love her!). And if she were she would be very much out and proud. Now kissing a girl doesn't make you gay.However Kissing a girl, liking it and doing it over and over again does. And no matter what we have to realize no matter how many girls you kiss and like, you are and should be respected for what you identify as. So P!nk in my book, is indeed, straight.
