SEX. . .a Dish Best Served SMART!!!

Hello Lovers its been a few days since I've updated you all on the happenings and going-on's of Spaz Talk Radio. This week's podcast is all about lesbian sex and some questions that we sometimes have. Now there was noway i could cram everything into a 45 minute cast. So what i am asking is for my listeners to send some feedback and questions that they may have. You can contact me here on myspace or right here on my blog. If you respond on the blog you have the option of responding anonymously.

So check out the latest cast, and tell me how you feel. In recent news I've composed my Best Lesbian Summer list an i shall be posting it soon. I was going to contact everyone on the list but ill do it after its published and in the event of misrepresentation I'll remove anyone who doesn't want to be honored. At this point I can't understand why some one wouldn't want to be honored in any kind of best of list, even if it is for my little blog We all start somewhere eh? So hopefully that list will be available to you as well as the Lesbian Fall Fashion list.

So once again, check out this weeks latest cast, and leave me some feedback! It doesn't hurt to give this Brooklyn girl a try! Got it? Good now go get it!

Thanks for the support!

Fallen Angel. . .

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979- August 25, 2001) departed her physical form on this day seven years ago. Home bound on a plane from the Bahamas, Aaliyah
and eight others had their lives abruptly snatched away as they headed
home to their loved ones. Doing what she loved Aaliyah was in the
Bahamas shooting what was to be her last video for her song "Rock the Boat".

She was an R&B singer during the 90's with a budding career as an
actress,With her self titled album she was definitely on her way to
becoming way more commercial, And of course her loyal fans were in high
anticipation of joining her in the journey to achieve ultimate stardom.
She was very different from most stars of her time and even from a lot of
artists now.

But like anyone who shoots up there was always the naysayers who bad
mouthed her. She was very private and often would be photographed with
her signature shades and a bang covering most of her face. Her young
marriage to R.Kelly brought a lot of negative attention her way, but
strong and ever mysterious she kept on recording.

She had a decent lesbian following encouraged by her Tomboy Style and
knack for over sized clothing. She was a model for Tommy Hilfiger and had
a lot of us girls in the 90's copying her style , with our boxer shorts
nd mid drifts showing. I smile thinking of the rumors of her being a
lesbian even up until her death. In her last video there wasn't a male
to be found just beautiful women dancing together on aboat in all white.
. .ahhh heavenly for true. She was never romantically linked to any
female and her last relationship was with hip-hop CEO Damon Dash.
She loved animals and even had a sexy dark side as can be seen in her
role as Vampire queen Akasha and in her music video " We Need a
Resolution"

Through it all Aaliyah will continuously be remembered and loved by her
fans. There would never be another like her. On this day let us remember
what it was like to have a truly creative and artistic sole like her
grace our earth Gone but not forgotten may she rest in peace!

Beautiful and ever classy. . .We will always miss you Aaliyah <3

Post Script: Aaliyah can be found in the movies Romeo Must Die, and Queen of the Damned. She has three albums One in a Million, Age Ain't Nothing but a Number, and Aaliyah. She has a great deal of fan pages and an official myspace. Check out her videos on You tube, and leave any love, questions or comments for Aaliyah here.

Peace Y'all! ! !

Wedding Tales

I didn't forget about Ellen and Portia...
I grabbed the People Issue that featured them and my heart beamed with pride at two women loving each other immensely and being content with their lives in love. Kudos! They sincerely make a beautiful couple and what lesbian doesn't aim for that life. Go grab that issue and have a peeksie into their wedding ceremony. Its very intimate and personal. Not a wedding for show, but a marriage for love. Be inspired.
Congratulations are due. See You all soon. Peace!

Common Reaction!. . .

Common Reaction is right! When we first heard about the musical aspirations of our favorite L Word journalist we thought Shit yea! She's hot. Now I'm thinking Uh Huh Hot! Im diggin' the sounds and I plan on racing to pick up the album which comes out TODAY! Common Reaction should be blasting in you Ipod by this time manana. I'm sure this will put us ladies out of our L word withdrawal misery.

Now we all know and love Leisha Hailey, but she isn't making musical magic by her lonesome! Uh Huh Her is the yin yang collision of Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey. Their music can be described as an indielectropopafunkieness and yup, that's the correct spelling!

It never hurts to try anything once, so give this one a spin and support these girls! And how about a resounding Hip Hip hooray for Leisha Hailey, Here's to life after the L word, and something to listen to in between our podcast. Rock on ladies, rock on!

Tropic Thunder. . .& the plight of a good actor

Just got in from seeing Tropic Thunder and Guess What? It was freaking Awesomeeeee! Damn better than the mucho ad-libbed Step Brothers. It was funny from start to finish! And it made the impossible move of beating out the Dark Knight. My favorite players? Robert Downey Jr., and two of America's favorite. . .well-weirdos! Look out for one funny assed Cameo, and one minor funny cameo. Hee-Larry-us!!!

Before, I get the hate mail I feel that everyone should know I'm a Black African-American (as Cartman would say). With that comes the fact that im racially conscious and pretty damn pro-black! And through all this I'm nowhere near as offended as all these somewhat ignorant racist others.I don't feel Downey was in "black face". Now Ted Danson at Whoopi's Roast some years back was definitely in black face. Robert Downey Jr. acted his ass off! No harm, No foul. It really upsets me that people have nothing better to do than pick apart a damn spoof comedy. And than the issue with the "retards". Give me a break!!! This word was used at least once in all the movies they bring up, so whats the big deal?

The movie is hilarious, especially as far as Ben Stiller goes. I usually go for him when he's partnered up with other comedic asses. But I'm glad I gave a chance this time. Well it's late and I'm off to count sheep. Remember I'm not a movie critic! I just have an opinion and a keyboard. Don't like it. . .Well comment and tell me why, Butt Face!

Lesbian Online Dating

I've never been a big fan of anything online: dating, shopping, chatting. Ive just always felt weird and vulnerable to crazies and lo and behold, people way weirder than me. Not to mention I'm wy computer illiterate! ugh. But after I met my girl and started my myspace network grew open minded. With help from my partner I found a love for all things cyber.

Thing is, maybe since I was in a relationship I never really got the opportunity to explore the option of online and Internet dating. I've met so many diffrent types of lesbians over the years and I think I can conclude that overall online dating is an option. This online dating has gained a decent rep' to in these recent years. Percentages have dropped of those doubtful that they were going to meet a Jennifer Beals type. It seems that lesbians are less afraid that some burly man is going to merge from the bushes showing the true identity of LezLuvLadies6969, your online companion.

Has Lesbian Online Dating truly become an option for us? Is this what our Ever going search for the "Mecca of Love" leads us? I frown upon this just a little, but only because I'm a fool for romance. I like the eyes meet across the room, and the reaching for the same fruit at the market type or meeting. But all is fair in love in war. I do wonder if there is a certain kind of online dater. I think of it as profiling.

I do wonder if it produces results. Maybe I'll lurk on one of the sights, i justdont know any. =( . But I suppose lurking will be dishonest. Oh well I shall consult my comrades in this matter, For this is something I find quite interesting. Note to readers, everything stated after the sad face was said in a British accent.

Le Femme Boutique

Sex and the City

Ugly Betty

Devil Wears Prada

The lady with the fiery hair. . .

Holy Sequins! Pat Field is Queer!

So, I got the inkling the blog about my favorite type of lesbian, the femme
and im doing an image search and BOOM there's a photo of stylist to the stars Patricia Field! Now im not the type who dwells on the sexuality of every out celebrity. I do have my favorite celesbians. Doesn't matter what Ms.Field likes in her bed, shes iconic regardless. My thing is lesbians are not widely associated with being fashionable. But,I do believe a certain red head has broken that mode!

Her boutique is of course super gay friendly! It's a drag queens paradise, a princesses refuge, and a fashion junkie's playhouse. You dont do fashion here in New York without doing Patricia Field's boutique! Myself, I keep it simple by browsing accesories, and perusing her vintage wares, but her gowns and garments are more than worth a peek!

Lets hear it for Pat! Out of the Closet and on to the Catwalks!

Sad, Sad Songs. . .

August 9Th, 2008 it was announced that Comedian and Actor Bernie Mac,50 had passed on. His death was brought on by complications with pneumonia. His prior health issues from 2005 were in remission, and his death is said to be completely unrelated. Bernie Mac was a personal favorite of mine. I prefer ed his raw stand-up from Def- comedy jam in the early 90's. He was hilarious and his own unadulterated style of comedy and he will surely be miss. For those who don't have any idea who Bernie Mac was, he was alongside Ashton Kutcher in Guess Who. You can also find him in
Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, Ocean's Thirteen and The Bernie Mac Show, Def Comedy Jam.

August 10th. 2008 the day after Bernie Mac's death was announced, we get hit with a double whammy with the announcement of Issac Hayes(65) death. He was found unconscious next to his treadmill. Issac Hayes more popular now for his role on
South Park as Chef, the boy's inappropriate mentor. But his claim to fame was his hit song known as the theme for Shaft. His latest work was on a radio station here in New York.

I'm double posting, because I believe that when we have good artists and entertainers we should acknowledge them in life and in death. R.I.P Bernie Mac and Issac Hayes, and may your art and work continue to live on!

The Booty Call, Does it Live On?

MyHotComments.com
MyHotComments

Is there really some booty call ettiquette? Some unwritten laws in the act of meaningless casual sex? Are we still having meaningless casual sex? While browsing some myspace stuff I found this booty call agreemnent. I do think it's hilarious but I must say it makes being single look frightening. a Couple of years ago if you liked someone you at least pretending you had some kind of romantic future.

Now I feel like real life has turned into an episode of The L Word, with some crazying woman desperately in need of shane's affection. I wonder do we lesbians share the same rules about casual sex? Aren't our "Booty CAlls" even intimate? Or has love, and great sex dulled my ability to appreciate the importance of a midnight romp in the sack? Generally, I like to believe that lesbians are creatures of love and habit, find their counterpart and settling in together.

But than. . .Look at AlphaBette. She loves these commited relationships, but than her groins start to tingle and that lesbian libido starts malfunctioning and whaddayakno shes boinking the carpenter, banging the girl from the bar, and doing Tina in an elevator? Sigh. . . Maybe the infamous booty call isn't so bad. We've all had them, no? . . .Just keep it safe ladies, there's a lot of unwanted visitors who'd be glad to stick around if you dont protect yourselves!
Don't know how to protect yourself? or where to get protection from? Leave me an anonymous comment here and i'll respond to your questions!

Anyhoo. . .Check out the latest podcast, and tell me what you think! FREE ON ITUNES NOW!

You Can't Beat Me!

Originally I contemplated writing something really long and personal about my experiences with domestic violence (in same sex partnerships) but for now I'm opting out. So I'll just say this:

Recently a friend of mine called me to her aid as she was victimized in a domestic violence situation. By the time I reached her the squabble had ceased. I attempted to guide her out of her place of residence, her partner ignited an altercation with myself and my girlfriend. The entire situation got so out of hand that the proper authorities had to be phoned. Upon, their arrival, the aggressive partner was lightly restrained, as the police officers engaged her in conversation.

While restraining her partner, my friend was allowed into their shared home to grab a few of her things. The police followed in their cars as the partner stalked steadily behind. Officially off the residence and walking to our means of transportation the officers removed themselves from the scene and all seemed to be well. Paranoid and afraid my friend glanced back to see once again, her persistent lover following us. Police nowhere in sight.

Her partner refused to leave us be, and wouldn't allow us to get on with ourselves. My girlfriend phoned the police once again. This would make it the third time in one night that the same officers were called to the scene. When the arrived this final time, they showed up sneering indignantly saying we called to get a free ride. Upset we told them someone would have to end up dead before they offered this battered woman any significant help.

If this were a case of a man physically abusing his significant other they would have probably taken him in. In a same sex domestic dispute, officers usually view it as a cat fight or a situation posing no real harm. But Wat happens when the seemingly harmless crime results in homicide and often times, suicide? I don't even think that the police have to take the assailant into custody without a notable amount of blood or bruises. So I'm thinking this means to just let the gays and the queers kill each other off! This girl was almost twice her size and obviously very angry and had very little self control!

Yes, we've all fought with our girlfriends. Sometimes these fights end up physical, Sometimes we really hurt each other. Whose gonna save us from our terrifying, intimidating girlfriends who are beating the holy hell out of us. Who determines who really poses an extreme threat? People we have to start indulging in self control, first for ourselves, and than our lovers and families. We have to learn that if we really love something than, we should let it go. When she says no, YOU STOP!. We all have to learn from mistakes and etc. No one is perfect, or is capable of evading the facts of life. What's done in the dark, must come to light. There's someone watching you as you choke her, push her, slap her, and harm her. Get Yourself some help! We should learn how to teach each other to love!
