Joker's Wild

OK, OK, so I'm no movie critic. Yadda Yadda Ya! i was a supporter of Heath Ledger. Now this is suppose to be a blog for lesbians by a lesbian. So ladies I'm sorry if this is no interest to you. Heath Ledger is gay friendly so we gain something!
Now The Dark Knight premiered Friday here in New York and frankly I thought it was worth the fuss. First issue: is Heath Ledger going to be able to pull off the maniacal Joker? Yes! In anticipation, we all checked the web and peeped the previews and I doubt that fans of both the actor and the Batman Comic & franchise were disappointed. We all ran to the theaters because we love batman, we love superheroes, we love Heath Ledger, we wanted to see if Ledger was better than Nicholson, or we wanted to see "the dead guys" last completed work.
The outcome: I'd say Ledger rocks my face off! I forgot who was behind the mask! Not to slight King Eerie himself, Jack Nicholson. To this day I can barely watch Nicholson in anything without getting the chills! The guys just spooky, No? I believe that ledger to very little from Nicholson's joker, and that he manifested a character of which no one believed capable. I mean this is the gay cowboy right? Listen, I knew when he played that damn cowboy that he was way bigger than his roles in such movies like Ten Things I Hate About You. Any way he's an actor who did his job well!
In other news, I found a new correspondent for SPAZ TALK RADIO!
Check It Out! Love You All! Peace!

"OBAMA IS MY SLAVE"

Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com

Alas, freedom of speech but er DAMMMN! So we all have our beliefs, and moral standings blah, blah blah. I just can't fathom why one would want to start a smear campaign of sorts without the proper evidence. So the photo preceding this post is of a man named Apollo Braun. He's a unique designer with a boutique in the L.E.S and i've had the pleasure of working with him. He actually brought 20 pieces of my custom T-shirts. Anyway, this is how I know the guy and before I continue let me say he's a wonderful person.

My issue is with this T-shirt of his (shown above). Its just very courageous for a white man to wear a shirt saying anyone is his slave, but when said person is the democratic candidate for the presidency in our dear ole US of A its startling. Im more for freedom of speech and expression than most people I encounter, but whats the basis for this one? Apollo claims that his beef with Obama doesnt come from his being black, that seems to be his favorite thing. His claims are that Obama is a muslim (false, false). He has even made it his business to compare Obama to Hitler! It's unfortunate that this man has not even made into office and all everyone can do is criticize him for what he has yet to do.

Alot of folks do seem to believe that Obama is going to be a slave of sorts. Saying he is likely to just be a puppet or mouthpeice for congress. Why arent we dealing with one issue at a time? I dont like to get into politics to much because frankly they dont benefit me any! im just sure we all know who ever steps foot into this presidency is being dealt a bum hand anyway. Its going to take terms to clean this country up. So shouldnt we just let the praises resound for those who are up to the challenge? UGH, im over this topic but Apollo I do love your work! And as an artist I respect that you do what you're suppose to do by invoking anger and critiques and making people react. one thing you do have to understand is that your whole anti-Barack mission was born on a foundation of fiction!

*Sigh*

. . .signing of 'til next time folks. Check out the podcasts!

"IM COMING OUT"

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!

First and foremost I just want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to even view this post. It's been an awesome honor to even have people listen to me let alone want to read what I say. and I will admit I'm being awfully humble which is not my style in the least bit, but I am grateful for every ounce of support I've received thus far.

Well now that that's out of the way, I can give you folks a little bio on this creative spirit from Brooklyn. I am a creative artists of all sorts. This translates into "starving artist" who hasn't succeeded at her art in the traditional sense, which is fine by me. I do aspire to be a writer/poet, designer/stylist, filmmaker/screenwriter, photographer/model. Do I pursue these things? Nope! have I done them all? Yes, At some point with the exception of screenwriting. The point of me mentioning this is so everyone can know what I'm about. I don't want to be famous or recognized or blah. I just want to have a voice, if only small. Please note that I purposely left out rich. I don't detest money . I just refuse to sell myself short because of it.

The most important thing is that I'm here and I intend to stay. I truly hope not to be the only one we need a united voice. I do represent young urban lesbians. I wish didn't have to put a label on it because I truly wont to reach everyone. but there's always that face in the crowd that needs to put us all in a box in order to identify. When whether we've noticed it or not we all must stick together!

I heard some startling news today. Senator McCain opposes gay adoption! HMMph! I suppose since we are animals, beasts, and completely unfit to raise children that we deserve this injustice. it's quite unfortunate for those of us who ache for children. I'll continue to gather the info on his position but for now i'll leave it be.

I want feedback from everyone whose heard the podcast, doesn't matter if its good or bad . . . I do prefer to hear from those who hate it in an effort to clean it up. But take it for what it is until it becomes better. also take advantage of the fact that we have this freedom of speech and total control for these podcasts. Soon the FCC. . . Well you know the rest!

until next time. . .REMEMBER "THINK ITS NOT ILLEGAL YET!"
