The division of the LGBT community has always bothered me. I'm very aware of the fact that we cannot all have some magical bond based purely on sexuality. I'm also very aware that some of us- most of us, have to face the same battles. I think it's very important to realize that there is an unmatchable strength In numbers. Dare we take the chance to join hands and hearts to win this sometimes impossible war on inequality? Yes it may sound all "kumbaya" but cohesiveness works people!
There are so many divisions in the community, that I refuse to be part of any group or organization. Generally speaking, some of us tend to carry out separatist and superior attitudes. If group A that fights for marriage thinks that they're somehow better than Group B that doesn't, we all somehow end up remaining less than people who may not fit into an LGBTQ identification. So who really wins? We are always going to fight for different things, what matters is that we fight together. You know, "kill two birds with one stone"? We subject each other to the same ridicule that we feel victim of. I can guarantee you that your walking and marching doesn't make you a better asset to this fight, than someone who doesn't. We have to come at this from multiple directions. We can't pretend to possess more of the fight than we actually have. And hell, some people can't walk, let's not forget that.
Some of us may have more battles to get through before the war is finished, some of us have priorities arranged a tad differently. What is the point if we all continue to stand in judgement? I'll be the one to say that the LGBT community has as much hypocrisy as any other community with unresolved issues. In case you didn't get the memo, neither of us have been appointed saints. Gays aren't better than lesbians, lesbians aren't better than the trans community, trans-folk aren't better than queers or otherwise identified. I can only be sure about my own direction, but I want everyone to think about whether their the cure or the disease. If there is a sickness in house, it'll take a little longer for us to get well. ( please don't contact me about the metaphor, I'm not saying WE'RE sick.) All I'm saying is that we need to work together, to make things better. I'm sure this will come up again, so stay tuned.

Summer's on the way . . .So Lez Party Like It's 2009
I've taken a break from the scene for a little bit. So much to do and we all know time waits for no1. but im re-emerging for some very special events. Now lesbian lifestyle poses an issue for some of us because some party-goers make it in without ID. Or some parties are to "rowdy". You just have to know how to pick your party style. Now im a dancer so when i go out I love to hit a CLUB with a DJ spining top 40 hits from the 80's and beyond. (& im not afraid to admit i also enjoy sweating to the oldies and getting my disco fever on). Than there's the laid back party style, where you sip on something light and rub elbows with your city's hottest and most sophisticated women.
The summer is rapidly approaching and our weekend will be filled with Pride events and celebrations. Until than here's two of New York hottest over 21 events to kick off a sexy summer:
SPICE NYC is bringing sexy back to the city with their next special event for women on Sat, May 30th 2009. This event is a boat cruise around NYC’s East Side harbor on the Jewel ship! Enjoy an open bar and the beauty of the city to be followed by an after party where you're sure to get your dance on! To find out more info or connect with the organizer of the event check them out at SPICE NYC on MYSPACE . Be sure to get your tix before they sell out!
Now for all you dancing machines (who can make it out on the weekdays) SNAPSHOT NYC Is THEE place to be. The Scenic rooftop at the Delancey can make you forget you have to work the next day as you mingle and mix with NYC's many diffrent shades of lesbians. Thier tip off event is none another than June 9ths POP ART QUEER PROM. And if you can't tell im excited! A themed queer prom where you can bring your date, partner or main squeeze without causing a riot? I'll be there as should you! You can connect with the ladies that make it happen every Tuesday at SNAPSHOT NYC on MYSPACE . Check these ladies out and be sure to add them so you can stay in the loop and know when you can get your Part-tayyy on!
& remember tell them who sent cha!

Pink to Bi or Not to Bi. . . That is the Question.
As previously reported Pink has been rumored to be bisexual. She disputes the claims and insists that she supports the LGBT community way to much to hide or not be proud of such a huge issue.Throughout her career, Pink has maintained a gay-friendly image and style of music.
While I'm sure that girls and guys alike wouldn't mind "enjoying Pink's company" im not sure if the feeling would be mutual. I don't believe almost anything i read in the rags, but photos dont lie. If these following photos were doctored call me crazy! I dont know if anyone remembers but this story (and photos) broke in October 2003, Do you remember Pink "Loken for Love."
She may be happy with men, but this night looked like she kissed a girl and liked it! Bisexual or heterosexual, Pink is hot! And a girl has every right to dream, doesnt she? If you'd like to read more about that 2003 lesbian night out, check out the link below:

In other news, everyone's favorite "almost-but-not-quite-but-could-be-sometimes-bisexual" non-lesbian is currently touring, and since she rocks our faces off, im sure that we're all out supporting her and rocking at her concerts. We Love you anyway Pink!

PuSSY LiQUOR
Now before i go into this post, let me start by saying "PUSSY LIQUOR" is originally a Rob Zombie song. Urban dictionary defines it as "the juices that excrete from the walls of a woman's vagina when excited" and also as "the act of placing a small bottle of liquor in a woman's vagina and drinking from it."I'll clear the air by saying i just want to explore the topic of lesbians, sex and alcohol.
Now disclaimer aside, Ill shall begin.
Maybe it's my age, my area, or just my place in the lesbian subculture, But with extensive research (lies BTW) i find that lesbians like to get smashed. I mean Shit-faced, toilet-hugging, stranger-humping, pole-dancing, hang over having monsters. . .and than have sex of course. Am i over analyzing the co-relation? Or am i truly on to something. I find that the ladies seem a lot more entertaining pumped full of liquid courage. Oh and i too am guilty of drinking and acting a damn fool, so maybe i speak through my beer goggles. When i drink though it's not to build up the courage to talk to a beautiful young lady, i for one prefer to make a fool of my self sober, so as to kick myself in the ass later.
I was recently chatting with a listener and we spoke about how even some straight girls down a couple "tini's and began to make out with each other. These girls hold strongly to their heterosexuality the next morning, yet continue to engage in this behavior over and over again. Now with lesbians we do the same thing. But what's the deal with these women? Frisky after whiskey. . .should we consider these women to be homosexual? Bi-curious? What's the deal? They could totally be in denial or sincerely having a good time. It's difficult to decipher when after the deed is done the attitude towards it is so nonchalant. I don't know whether to be excited or disgusted at these women who cradle that gay area of sexuality. As you can tell i haven't fully organized y thoughts on this subject but i intend to do so. . .
Lesbians, Sex, Liquor. . . and Bi-curiousity?
Lend me your insight dear readers, and check the myspace blog as i may go into this topic there too. . .http://myspace.com/spaztalkradio . . .so leave me some advice, comments, stories, and insight. . .Want to keep it private email me or IM me. . .I'll be sure to respond to everyone!

Best Lesbian Web Series
With The L word on Hiatus and Lindsay Lohan being the Latest thing
associated with Lesbianism, GirlTrash Rocks your face off with the tale
of lesbians gone Criminal!. . .And Sweet Xena, Rose Rollins totes a gun
and cusses her ass off. And with lots of buildup a clean edit has just
been posted on the girltrash myspace.
Best Lesbian Video/ YouTuber
Becky Dresdale's funny take on the L Word Theme song had me holding my
sides. And lets face everything she said about each character was so
true that it made the whole damn thing even funnier!

Best Lesbian Podcast/Podcaster
Whilst I'm getting my podcast on the ground, Sandi T has mastered the
art of Lesbian Podcasting. Her podcast was actually one of the first I'd
ever heard, and I loved how candid and honest she is from day 1. Pick an

show her love (if you haven't already) because she truly does this for
the fans! And yes Y'all She's a New Yawker!
Best Lesbian Hair

Best Lesbian News
Even with the heartbreaking news to our Favorite Lesbian Drama's demise,
we have something to look forward too. The L word is going to conclude
with an 8 epsidode season and open ending for fans to mess over online.
What?! My sentiments too. But the upside is that clever Ilene Chaiken
landed a Spinoff Series with ShoTime. But keep your panties on, we don't
know who the hell is going to land the spinoff series which brings us to
. . .
Best Lesbian Mystery
So with the announcement of the L word spinoff, we are informed that one
of the original Cast Members will be offered the role, And Supposedly
she doesn't know that it her yet. Another wrench, only "one" Cast member
is supposedly goin to be picked! Hmm, this seems awfully suspect. Does
this mean no TiBette? Shenny? Sharmen? TaLice? Should we exclude all who
are coupled? Does the original cast include Pam Grier? Jennifer Beals
has a toddler. Leisha Hailey has a band. These would be the best
prospects right? But what if Shane and Jenny hook up? That puts them out
of the running right? And why don't they give Sweet Rose her own
series? Best.Lesbian.Mystery!
This has been your Best of Lesbian Summer list. Leave comments and check

next time? Think it should be you? Well email me and tell me about

You Can't Beat Me!

Originally I contemplated writing something really long and personal about my experiences with domestic violence (in same sex partnerships) but for now I'm opting out. So I'll just say this:
Recently a friend of mine called me to her aid as she was victimized in a domestic violence situation. By the time I reached her the squabble had ceased. I attempted to guide her out of her place of residence, her partner ignited an altercation with myself and my girlfriend. The entire situation got so out of hand that the proper authorities had to be phoned. Upon, their arrival, the aggressive partner was lightly restrained, as the police officers engaged her in conversation.
While restraining her partner, my friend was allowed into their shared home to grab a few of her things. The police followed in their cars as the partner stalked steadily behind. Officially off the residence and walking to our means of transportation the officers removed themselves from the scene and all seemed to be well. Paranoid and afraid my friend glanced back to see once again, her persistent lover following us. Police nowhere in sight.
Her partner refused to leave us be, and wouldn't allow us to get on with ourselves. My girlfriend phoned the police once again. This would make it the third time in one night that the same officers were called to the scene. When the arrived this final time, they showed up sneering indignantly saying we called to get a free ride. Upset we told them someone would have to end up dead before they offered this battered woman any significant help.
If this were a case of a man physically abusing his significant other they would have probably taken him in. In a same sex domestic dispute, officers usually view it as a cat fight or a situation posing no real harm. But Wat happens when the seemingly harmless crime results in homicide and often times, suicide? I don't even think that the police have to take the assailant into custody without a notable amount of blood or bruises. So I'm thinking this means to just let the gays and the queers kill each other off! This girl was almost twice her size and obviously very angry and had very little self control!
Yes, we've all fought with our girlfriends. Sometimes these fights end up physical, Sometimes we really hurt each other. Whose gonna save us from our terrifying, intimidating girlfriends who are beating the holy hell out of us. Who determines who really poses an extreme threat? People we have to start indulging in self control, first for ourselves, and than our lovers and families. We have to learn that if we really love something than, we should let it go. When she says no, YOU STOP!. We all have to learn from mistakes and etc. No one is perfect, or is capable of evading the facts of life. What's done in the dark, must come to light. There's someone watching you as you choke her, push her, slap her, and harm her. Get Yourself some help! We should learn how to teach each other to love!

Joker's Wild

OK, OK, so I'm no movie critic. Yadda Yadda Ya! i was a supporter of Heath Ledger. Now this is suppose to be a blog for lesbians by a lesbian. So ladies I'm sorry if this is no interest to you. Heath Ledger is gay friendly so we gain something!
Now The Dark Knight premiered Friday here in New York and frankly I thought it was worth the fuss. First issue: is Heath Ledger going to be able to pull off the maniacal Joker? Yes! In anticipation, we all checked the web and peeped the previews and I doubt that fans of both the actor and the Batman Comic & franchise were disappointed. We all ran to the theaters because we love batman, we love superheroes, we love Heath Ledger, we wanted to see if Ledger was better than Nicholson, or we wanted to see "the dead guys" last completed work.
The outcome: I'd say Ledger rocks my face off! I forgot who was behind the mask! Not to slight King Eerie himself, Jack Nicholson. To this day I can barely watch Nicholson in anything without getting the chills! The guys just spooky, No? I believe that ledger to very little from Nicholson's joker, and that he manifested a character of which no one believed capable. I mean this is the gay cowboy right? Listen, I knew when he played that damn cowboy that he was way bigger than his roles in such movies like Ten Things I Hate About You. Any way he's an actor who did his job well!
In other news, I found a new correspondent for SPAZ TALK RADIO!
Check It Out! Love You All! Peace!
